The Small Munsterlander was developed in the early years of the 20th century by crossing the Large Munsterlander with spaniels. The result was a smaller dog with a brown and white coat. It retains the working abilities of its larger ancestor and has proven to be a versatile dog in the field.
General appearance of Small Munsterlander
This breed does not as yet have a Kennel Club breed standard and therefore it may not be exhibited at Kennel Club licensed breed shows.
Small Munsterlander Faults
Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree and its effect upon the health and welfare of the dog and on the dogs ability to perform its traditional work.
Note
Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum.
