Each gram contains

  • Diaveridine Hydrochloride equivalent to Diaveridine B.P.(Vet): 3.3gm
  • Sulphaquinoxaline Sodium equivalent to Sulphaquinoxaline B.P.(Vet) :18.7 gm

Indications
Intestinal and caecal coccidiosis in poultry

Coccidiosis

  • Most important disease of poultry
  • Characterized by bloody diarrhoea
  • Affects broilers and growers in deep litter system
  • Caused by protozoan parasite Eimeria spp
  • Outbreaks common between 3-6 weeks of age

Symptoms

  • Bloody diarrhoea
  • High mortality
  • Reduced weight gain
  • Emaciation
  • Mortality occurs 5 –6 days following infection

Caeca of young bird distended with blood

 

Distended small intestine with pinpoint haemorrhage in the surface

 

Profuse bleeding in the intestine

Large blood clots in the small intestine

Dosage & Administration

  1. Give 1 gm of Coxstop per liter of drinking water for 3 days
  2. Give plain drinking water for next 2 days.
  3. Give 0.5 gm of Coxstop per liter of drinking water for 2-3 days

Withdrawal

  • Meat- 5 days
